Premature Empty Nest Syndrome

Who would have thought a mother of a 5 year old and a 9 month old would have empty nest syndrome. Well I think I am having a mini version of it. My 5 year old doesn't want me anymore...or atleast it seems like in the past 2 days. Yesterday, when I went to pick him up from the creche, he said he didn't want to come and wanted to play longer....so he came home only at 9.45 when the hubby picked him after work. This morning I was going to drop him to school and he threw a tantrum saying that he wanted the maid to drop him. This afternoon, he didn't even ask the driver to bring him to my office (something he used to throw tantrums about just a couple of weeks ago) and went straight off to the creche. When I called him there, he didn't have time to talk cos he was busy!

So there! One of my birds seems to have prematurely flown the nest. Boo hoo hoo. Luckily I have a 9 month old daughter who still wants me....but Lord knows how much longer that will last!

Been meaning to post one about some Karan classic lines, but feeling too depressed to do it now.....so I shall postpone that to another day.
